I am Sigi from Sömmerda.
In 1941 I was born in the city of Leipzig.
You guessed right, my hobby is Amateur Radio :-)
I got my license in 1960. My first call sign was (as
co-operator at a club-station) DM3ZBM. This was the normal procedure in the former
GDR.
In the year 1965 I received my private call DM2CFM.
With this call I was authorized to operate from my home.
1970 I moved from Leipzig into the Erfurt-district and got
my next call DM2CZI.
During the year 1978 I used the special call DT2CZI.
In the year 1980 all call signs in the GDR got the new "Y"
prefix and I became Y23ZI.
Immediately after the breaching of the Wall I applied for
my actual call DL3AMA.
Since 1992 y used on business trips also the polish call
SO6AMA.
Actually you can find me on all bands from 160m - 10m, 6m,
2m and 70cm.
My locator is JO51ND. On all bands I use the maximum legal
power.
I enjoy DX QSO's on 6m.
I prefer SSB, but like CW too. (Since 1964 I am member of
the High-Speed-Club)
You also can find me in the RTTY-mode.
Now I am retired and can enjoy my hobby every day.
Also I am QSL-manager of
YV5EU (previously:
DL2GG/YV5) in
Caracas, Venezuela.
During the 2006 soccer-world-cup I was responsible for the
special call DQ2006X.
When I am in my radio shack, our little dog "DGØDOG" is
mostly present. :-) |
